Have been an OHara fan for years and love this print as they represent specific symbolism in my Buddhist practice. Good quality paper and will frame nicely.

FAQs
What is Ukiyo-e?
Ukiyo-e, meaning “pictures of the floating world,” is a traditional Japanese art form that flourished from the 17th to 19th centuries. These woodblock prints often featured landscapes, nature, kabuki actors, and scenes of daily life, and they remain some of the most iconic works in Japanese culture.
What kind of paper do you use?
All prints are produced on museum-grade archival paper. This ensures durability, prevents yellowing, and keeps your artwork looking vibrant for generations.
What kind of ink is used?
We use professional giclée printing with fade-resistant inks. This process produces rich, vivid colors that closely match the originals and will not fade easily, even in sunlight.
Why do some prints look grainy or textured?
The original artworks are over 80–100 years old and were created on smaller sheets of paper. When enlarged to modern poster sizes, some natural grain or texture becomes visible. This is part of the charm of the original woodblock process and reflects the authenticity of the art.
Why don’t all prints have the same size or ratio?
The original artworks were created in various non-standard sizes. To respect the integrity of each piece, we keep the original proportions whenever possible. This may result in prints that don’t fit perfectly into modern paper ratios—but it preserves the artist’s intended composition.
Will more artists be added?
Yes! We’re continually expanding our collection and look forward to sharing more incredible Japanese artists with you in the future.
